Do any of these sound familiar?
If you recognized yourself in any of these, you're not alone. A lot of people are in the same place, and a lot of them have found a way through it.
The longer you wait, the harder it gets
Confidence Quietly Erodes
Small insecurities compound over time and become harder to shake.
Photos Become Something You Avoid
Avoiding cameras becomes a habit that starts to feel normal.
First Impressions Take the Hit
How you present yourself at work and in social settings is affected daily.
The Gap Widens
The difference between how your smile looks and how you want it to look grows over time.
Options Narrow With Age
Tooth wear and structural changes can limit what veneers can address later.
Years Pass Without the Smile You Wanted
Every month you wait is another month you spend uncomfortable in your own skin.
The sooner you start, the sooner you have a smile you're proud of.
What Are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers (thin porcelain coverings bonded to the front surface of your teeth) are one of the most effective ways to change the appearance of your smile. They address discoloration, chips, uneven sizing, and minor spacing concerns in a single treatment. Each veneer is custom-made to match the shape, shade, and proportions that look right for your face, not just your teeth.
At Icon Dental Implant Center, we approach veneers in Southfield with precision planning from the start. Our digital scanner captures detailed impressions of your teeth, and our in-house lab gives us direct control over how each veneer is crafted. That means fewer surprises and a final result that fits you.

What to Expect With Porcelain Veneers
Consultation and Planning
You will meet with your doctor to discuss your goals and review your smile in detail. We use our digital scanner to capture precise images of your teeth, which allows us to plan your veneers with accuracy before any preparation begins. You leave this appointment with a clear treatment plan and realistic expectations.
Tooth Preparation
A small amount of enamel is gently removed from the front surface of each tooth receiving a veneer. This creates the proper fit and ensures your veneers look natural rather than bulky. Local anesthetic is used to keep you comfortable throughout, and sedation is available if you prefer additional ease. Temporary veneers are placed while your permanent ones are being crafted in our in-house lab.
Veneer Fabrication
Our in-house lab works from the detailed digital scans taken during your consultation to craft each veneer to the exact specifications we planned together. You will not be waiting on an outside facility. This step typically takes one to two weeks, during which your temporary veneers protect your teeth.
Bonding and Final Placement
Your permanent veneers are checked for fit, color, and shape before anything is finalized. Once you approve the look, each veneer is bonded to your tooth with a strong dental adhesive and cured in place. Small adjustments are made on the spot until everything feels right. You leave with your completed smile.
